Scarves / Not just for Winter

I was just about to publish this way back at the end of May when summer still hadn’t managed to break through - and then - the heat came. Now its only early August - still technically summer - yet there is a distinct Autumnal chill in the air.

( If you follow us regularly you know we are hardcore scarf addicts - a silk Hermes scarf was our idea of the only way to do breastfeeding cover up. )

So out come our collection of scarves. They are perfect for these chilly mornings (until you have to dust of your winter coat for real) but we need an update for AW, and if you do too  Go to the people doing it really really really well, our go-to’s and firm favourites are:

Hermes

Athena Procopiou buy directly or Saks Matches Net-a-porter

Silken Favours buy directly or Liberty

Age of Reason directly or Coco-De_Mer

Our favourite pick of vintage royal fare. I found this lovely tray in a little old charity shop, and feel very happy with myself as I never normally manage me to find anything. Will have to have vintage queens EastLondonStyle &
TigersBride round and serve afternoon tea on it!

Vintage Baby

Keira is totally rocking her vintage pink heart romper circa 1977. It’s ‘so’ cute & she loves it. I’m so glad my Mum is a hoarder and never throws anything out x

Vintage Rocks

Dont miss ‘Vintage Rocks’ vintage fair on this Friday, Sept 30th in Hotel Du Vin, Tunbridge Wells. And why not pop into Juliet’s for tea and cake after, served on vintage tea sets. www.julietstunbridgewells.co.uk

Wiltons Music Hall

If you dont already know this infamous venue Sunday is the perfect day to go. Barbara Windsor will be opening Wilton’s largest tea and cake afternoon yet! Bring and buy cake sale, vintage DJ’s, high tea and a chance to explore the building – don’t miss it!

Anthony Burrill has made an exclusive Wilton’s inspired letter press print to sell. It will be unveiled on the day! You can also help raise funds towards Wilton’s Capital Project by baking and donating a cake for our traditional cake sale held in the main hall. Lily Vanilli, one of London’s hottest and most creative bakers will be judging a cake competition.

The sweet illustration is by Holly Dinsdale.
