Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Angulus Shoes / A life-long love begins…
Our obsession with shoes is renowned. We love and adore them more than anything else in our closet.
I’ve never thought too much about the ‘why’ until recently. Watching my little girl take her first steps, followed by weeks of tumbling down; undefeated getting up and trying again; until one day she broke into a fully fledged confident walk. Triumphantly happy. Its a powerful moment. Ultimately it marked the beginning of her independence. Her freedom.
We’ve all experienced this life changing moment, and although we dont remember, perhaps this moment is stamped deep into our subconscious forever. Hence the important place shoes have in our hearts. Is it any wonder Carrie Bradshaw famously “spent $40,000 on shoes and I have no place to live? I will literally be the old woman who lived in her shoes!”
Once you can walk, you ‘need’ shoes. And then you ‘want’ shoes. All different kinds and styles for all the various types of walking you are going to do.
I think it was Marilyn Monroe that said “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world”  so when the time came to get TheMiniOne her first ‘proper’ pair of shoes, it was straight to Angulus
We selected the classic patent Dolly and now have our eyes firmly on this new season Silver metallic Dolly
The Danish brand are renowned for producing high quality shoes. I like their no fuss, no frills approach. And I adore their highly crafted shoes in classic styles. Plus they are designed specifically for precious little soft feet, which can so easily be damaged.
Here’s the science bit: “Founded in 1904 by doctors and physiotherapists, Anugulus shoes have been created with a rounded toe to allow children’s feet room move and grow with their natural muscular development. They are made from the softest calf leather to ensure comfort and durability. With hard wearing natural crepe rubber soles”
Buy Angulus from expert retailers and ‘feet-fitters’

GKFW
The first of its kind took place in London 2 weeks ago.
And like any proper fashion show ‘WHO’ is sitting on the FROW is just as important as what comes down the catwalk. GKFW didnt disappoint with a mix of hip models, aristocracy, actresses, wags and cool musicans. We spotted some serious fashion everything from Chanel to CHLOE, Maje to Michael Kors. Louboutinto Nickolas Kirkwood.

On the FROW were :
Model Portia Freeman, who as an ambassador for GKFW was present everyday. Across the days we spotted her in Chloe’s spring pastels and Michael Kors red/black striped 7/8th trousers with towering heels. We love the fact that, as the evening wore on she slipped into a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo ‘Vara’ pumps. Her husband, who I was practically rubbing elbows with is Pete Denton of the Kooks. I have no idea about whos-who in the music biz.

Actress Bodil Blain and her daughter
were papped as they jumped out of a cab, then inside her daughter legged it across the catwalk mid show to Jemma & Jodie Kidd. Jodie’s handsome little fella Indio was trying to join the catwalk & Jodie spent most of her time trying to wrestle him to a seat.

Actress Camilla Rutherford, who we saw later that same night presenting an award at the Rodial Beauty Awards

Saskia Boxford had a to-die-for pair of Nicholas Kirkwood. .

As always, Emily Evans owner of 9London looked effortlessly cool in Chanel and Jimmy Choo’s.
Pippa Vosper, naturally looked striking throughout the course of the weeks events.

Louise Nichol of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia @BazaarArabia editor-in-chief and former editor of Grazia Middle East looked impossibly gorgeous and was there with her tiny new baby and husband. Blogger Heidi Raeside founder of Tuesday’s Child was also there rocking laid back style. While Olcay Gulsen of SuperTrash fame looked uber cute. Uber stylist Bay Garnet was also there with her kids.

Alex&Alexa’s own Senior Buyer, Vanessa Benedict caught out eye in her stylish take on the tux. She looked excellent in Maje and Sergio Rossi heels.
Post show everyone sipped champagne whilst listening to a set by model Amber Le Bon, who also entertained us later at the Rodial Awards, where she picked up an award for her Mother Yasmin from Melissa Odabash.
The kiddos jumped in the photo-booth(as did we later on!) and had their nails painted at the Little Bu pop-up salon. Ate fresh popcorn and treats from Pret.

There was a host of other beautiful people making GKFW a must event.

Hello & Welcome Circus London PR

Tomorrow sees the very anticipated launch of Circus London PR and as they are our neighbours, we are delighted to be able to give you an exclusive preview…

Aptly the launch will be held in Shoreditch House the perfect setting for a agency born in Old Street.

Tomorrow you will get to know the lovely people behind this new dedicated childrenswear agency - the UK’s first designer childrenswear only PR Agency, dedicated to promoting leading international childrenswear brands.

And you are going to L.O.V.E the brands they represent, in fact you probably already know and love them. Our favorites are SuperTrash Girls who we just saw strut the catwalk at GKFW  Junkfood Kids and Imps&Elfs

If you are popping along to meet the team tomorrow enjoy all the lovely things they have in store for you, including a very nice goodie bag.
