Caravan Style / Online

December 8 is officially the first day of Christmas, so why not kick off your festive shopping with Caravan Style who have relaunch their wonder emporium online this week.

A treasure trove of the most wonderful finds, cherry picked by Queen magpie herself,  Emily. Trouble is, there are so many delightful finds you will want to keep everything for yourself.

Our pick, and our die-hard love is the Pineapple Wall Scone. We want. We want. We want. Exclusive to Caravan.

You know what a massive design crush we have on Lee Broom so you wont be surprised that we choose the Hand blown and cut lead crystal glass pendant.

And lastly Jealous Baby by LuckyBoySunday. Too cool.

Go explore http://www.caravanstyle.com  for yourself there is So So much more.

■ I MISS MY PRE-BABY BRAIN ■

This weekend at the Serpentine Gallery experts and thinkers discuss the concept of memory. People like Gilbert&George, Tilda Swinton, John Berger

'Memory' is really interesting concept, and one that fascinates me. More so since having a baby, as I dont seem to be able to remember anything. Thank God for my iPhone. I dont know what I’d do without it. It is my memory.

Another Magazine have done a really nice round up of the event. Where I saw this slogan 'I miss my pre-internet brain' and it made me smile (Slogans for the Early 21st Century, Douglas Coupland, 2012 from the Daniel Faria Gallery)

And I do too miss my pre-internet brain but not as much as ‘I miss my pre-baby brain’

The Serpentine Memory Marathon takes place 13-14 October. Read more about it at Another Magazine http://www.anothermag.com/current/view/2260/Serpentine_Memory_Marathon_Editors_Picks They are also giving away tickets. Win by tweeting your first memory to @anothermagazine using the hashtag #memorymarathon

Lee Broom. He was our all-out-favourite last year. In fact I’m still lusting after that white studded chair.
Hands down he has won me over again this year. I’m a sucker for his precious cut-crystal bulbs. Twinkling showroom is awesome. Love it.

The Animal Art Fair is this Thursday on Southbank. If you like animals and art then you should go! We are totally in love with some of them - the pink flamingos have especially tickled our fancy.

Its a great opportunity to buy artwork from renowed artists. As well as bid on works by celebrities…Mark Owen, Mark Durden Smith, Rachel Riley, Miranda Hart, Will Greenwood and Clare Balding have all unleashed their creative side and put their work forward for the auction on Thursday evening.

The proceeds of which go to the very cool 'Peckham Shed'  Who “run inspiring theatre workshops for children and young people aged 5 – 17 years old, living in and around South East London. Please read all about them here and see the great stuff they do  http://www.peckhamshed.com/category/homepage/

With so many artists taking part there is something for everyones tastes and budget. Oh! And did we mention there will be gorgeous canapés, cocktails from Amathus Drinks mixed by ‘Hire the Barman’ and the entertainment from the talented bunch at Peckham Shed. All ingredients for a very special night along the South Bank.

Thursday 17th May 2012, 6-9:00pm, Riverside Walkway, Southbank.
